Mii de oameni au trecut prin tranzitia femeie-spre-barbat (FM) si traiesc acum vieti implinite si fericite ca barbati. Alte mii sunt in procesul tranzitiei FM. Numerele sunt mult mai mari decat se estimeaza.
 
Acesti barbati se lupta in tacere cu multe dificultati medicale, de ordin fizic, familial, social, legal, pe plan profesional precum si relational pentru a tranzitiona si a-si construi o viata noua. Dupa acele probleme ale tranzitiei, majoritatea barbatilor traiesc "ascunsi" si isi uita trecutul. Ei "se ascund la vedere" pentru a evita stigmatizarea sociala si pentru a-si continua vietile. Succesele lor personala le asigura asimilarea de catre societate. Drept rezultat sunt aproape "invizibili" ca avand vreodata trecut transsexual.
 
Recent, valul de invizzibilitate a fost ridicat, intrucat un numar de barbati trans au creat site-uri pentru a-si spune povestirile si in a-i ajuta pe ceilalti. Poti sa le atribui o fata umana pe vietile lor uitandu-te la site-urile de mai jos - continand infomatii pretioase despre experienta FM. Povestirile acestor oameni pot da speranta, incurajare si model de viata pentru ceilalti, in special pentru adolescentii transsexuali aflati in procesul de tranzitie FM. Acesti adolescenti (si parinti lor) trebuie sa invete ca tranzitia de gen FM este acum posibila. Fara modele de viata vizibile precum barbatii de mai jos, este greu sa intrezareasca ce este posibil acum. Astfel, daca parintii  isi vad copii transsexuali ca "un baiat cu o probleme fizica" in loc de "o fata cu o problema psihica", viitorul copilului este plin de speranta. Cu dragoste parinteasca si sprijin, un baiat transsexual poate sa isi indeplineasca visele si poate sa traiasca o viata implinita ca barbat.

In 2001, Lynn Conway a creat o pagina web cu fotografii si link-uri catre povestirile multor femei transsexuale post operate de succes. Aceasta pagina a strans intr-un singur loc multe fotografii si link-uricatre povestirile femeilor care au tranzitionat barbat-spre-femeie si traiesc vieti de succes. Scopul a fost sa asigure modele de viata pentru tinerele care sufera de probleme similare si sa le ofere speranta si incurajare ca pot reusi in construi o viata noua.
 
Pagina conceputa de Lynn "Femei TS de succes" a fost accesata des si pare sa fie folositoare multor oameni. Drept rezultat, oamenii au cerut ca Lynn sa creeze o pagina similara despre persoanele transsexuale femeie-spre-barbat (FM) care au tranzitionat cu succes.
 
Ca o femeie TS postoperativa, Lynn a ezitat la inceput in a face aceasta pagina. Intrucat ea nu cunoaste experienta FM, i-a fost teama ca ar putea face erori in prezentarea sentimentelor si experientelor barbatilor trans. Orsicum, multi barbati respectabili au incurajat-o pe Lynn sa mearga inainte si astfel ea a inceput sa creeze o pagina a "Barbatilor trans de succes". Acesta este rezultatul.
