On Tuesday, after a light breakfast at the Harbour View,
we took a long walk in the morning. We then began our wedding
preparations about noon. After making up, I put on my pretty
ivory wedding dress. Charlie shaved and showered and put on his
tux. A bit of nervousness and anticipation set in, as we'd looked
forward to this day for a long time now. We were still a little
nervous about the weather, but it looked like it was going to
be sunny for the ceremony and then in and out of cloudiness later
in the day.
Our flowers arrived from Mackinac
Island Florists at 1:30. Our photographer and our minister
arrived at 2:00. We spent some time going over the ceremony details
with the minister, and also signed the marriage papers and had
them witnessed.
We then spent 45 minutes or so with our photographer,
Robert Jerstrom, to begin taking photos of us inside
the Inn and out on the
grounds there. Rob is a very gifted photographer who is
widely known for his
beautiful,
artistic photos of Island scenes. Rob took some wonderful
photos of us at the Inn before the ceremony, during the ceremony
in the outdoor gazebo, and during the carriage ride afterwards.
We've posted a few of the many, many photos Rob took here on
this page and on several continuation pages:

Rob finished with taking the photos inside the Inn around
2:45, and we took a break to get ready for the ceremony. As 3:00
neared we did some last minute nervous fidgeting with our wedding
clothes and flowers as we prepared to begin the wedding ceremony.

The wedding ceremony then began, at 3:00pm in the gazebo
on the Harbour View Inn's beautiful grounds. We were both pretty
emotional during the ceremony as the minister guided us through
our wedding vows. When the minister saw a couple of tears going
down my cheek, he winked and said quietly to Charlie "She's
an incurable romantic, isn't she?" Charlie said "yes,
she is!"

After the ceremony, we strolled the grounds of the Inn and
took more photos, and then walked down the path towards the front
of the Inn to meet our carriage, which was due to arrive at 3:30.
