This variable is typically defined in the file jl-config.cl. It is used when Java is started from Lisp. The definition may need to be modified to fit the configuration of a particular site and Java version. If Java is not started from Lisp, then this variable is ignored.
This variable must be set to the home directory of the Java library. If nil, we assume that the Java environment has been set up before starting Lisp.
NOTE: This assumption includes the fact that the file jlinker.jar must be visible to the Java application.
The initial value depends on the local configuration.
