Arguments: host &key ignore-cache
host should be a string naming a host, a 32-bit IP address, or a string in dotted form. This function returns the 32-bit IP address for the host. An error is signaled if the host can't be found. The mechanism used to lookup the host's IP address can vary from machine to machine and is determined by the system administrator of the machine. Typically, the Domain Name Service is used, but in cases where that isn't available a file that maps host names to IP addresses is consulted.
The ignore-cache argument is new in 5.0.1. If specified true, then the lookup will be done by querying the operating system name lookup libraries rather than using a value that Lisp has cached. The result of the lookup is still cached, however.
