MEAD-CONWAY COURSE INSTRUCTORS, AS OF '82-'83:

 

 

The following tables contain listings of the Mead-Conway VLSI design course instructors at U. S. (Table 1) and foreign (Table 2) universities during the '82-'83 academic year. Those listed are instructors that Lynn Conway was in contact with, and in many cases had helped initiate their VLSI instructional activities by sending them the standard "VLSI Care Package", including the Instructor's Guide, Guides to LSI Implementation, Implementation Documentation from MPC'79/MPC'580, etc. There may also have been other schools that Lynn wasn't aware of.

 

The first such course was offered at MIT in 1978. During 1979-'80 there were 12 universities offering such courses. As we see here, by 1982-'83 the total was 113 universities.
