The death of Tonette Lopez, Filipina
activist for the Asian trans community.
We learn from Andrew Hunter of the tragic loss of Tonette Lopez,
transactivist and human rights lawyer, who passed away the night of 29th
April, 2005 in Manila. Andrew and Khartini Slamah have written a tribute to
Tonette. I have added a tribute of my own. They are both on the Transgender
ASIA website. We invite any who would like to add their own tribute to this
extraordinary woman of the Asian trans-community to do so.
