Arguments: widget
If the value of a text control has not yet been updated to match the text in the control, then this function may be called to update the value. It may be useful for a delayed text control where updating is delayed until focus leaves the control if for some reason updating should not in fact be delayed. Updating is typically automatic when in text controls that are not delayed.
