I've donated to Red Cross.  USaid.gov has a list of other organizations
you may want to donate to.  Please chime in to recommend any in
particular.  I've donated to Oxfam before and recommend them.  Both Oxfam
and the Red Cross are entirely secular, if that matters to you.

Btw, I'm planning to respond to Augie, Bethany, and Chris asap.  In
particular Augie's question about my emigration plans, Bethany's article
about Christianity and anti-environmentalism, and Chris's pro gas tax
stance.
