I'm tempted to send it to improvetheworld on the grounds that forwarding
this around far and wide will generate excitement about skating which will
inspire more people to skate which will increase average fitness which
will prevent many diseases and save lives. I'm not being facetious. I
see it that way.

I also have a theory that the more skaters and cyclists there are on the
roads the fewer car-related deaths there will be (per skater/cyclist)
since cars will be more aware of us and have to drive slower. Huron River
Drive for example felt quite safe for us (5 skaters) this morning with the
dozens upon dozens of bikes out there.

Which reminds me, why the hell are cars allowed to drive 50mph on 2-lane
roads?	That's just stupid. There should a be a universal speed limit of
30-35mph for motor traffic on all non-expressways. Expressways are for
driving fast with no human-powered traffic. All other roads need to be
made far friendlier to us. I think a good start, besides more of us out
there, would be a public service announcement from Lance Armstrong [1].
And it's not just us who would benefit. Think how much nicer cities would
be with fewer cars and more human-powered traffic.

Ok, I just decided this is worthy of improvetheworld. World-improvers,
meet social-skaters. Many of you are both but if you're one and want to
be the other, just let me know.

Thanks for listening!
Danny

[1] Seriously, even the people who lay on the horn as they accelerate past
you love Lance Armstrong.
