I particularly like the McCain quote in the middle of it, partially for its truthfullness and partially because I have this great mental image of McCain puffing up his cheeks and yelling it at some poor reporter: "What we need is more pronouncements like the one in a recent book by Sen. John McCain (R-Ariz.): Get on the damn elevator! Fly on the damn plane! Calculate the odds of being harmed by a terrorist! Its still about as likely as being swept out to sea by a tidal wave. Suck it up, for crying out loud. Youre almost certainly going to be okay. And in the unlikely event youre not, do you really want to spend your last days cowering behind plastic sheets and duct tape? Thats not a life worth living, is it?" (forwarded from Dragomir Radev's email list) http://www.cato.org/pubs/regulation/regv27n3/v27n3-5.pdf A false sense of insecurity
