The Morning News has an article on the Mohammed cartoons. While I 
certainly don't agree with everything the author has to say, it is 
interesting.

While it's mostly an opinion piece, I did learn something from it: The 
original call for cartoons was in response to an article in a competing 
Danish newspaper. That story detailed the difficulties in finding an 
illustrator for a children's book about Mohammed.
