Subject: Re: NYtimes article: Many women at elite colleges set career path to Motherhood
Speaking of bogus emails, I have concluded that (thank goodness) the
basic premise of the NYtimes article Bethany sent is in fact bogus.  I
think the author of the article, Louise Story, has an antifeminist
agenda and has hit upon a brilliant way to further it.	The kind of
biased reporting they've done may tend to be a self-fulfilling
prophecy.

To clear up any doubt, here's what one of the main sources in that
article had to say:

"It saddens me that I am portrayed as an insensitive and unambitious
person in the article, and really did not know that Louise was only
going to quote those of us who wanted to stay at home if/when we had
kids. She in fact did interview my other suitemates who answered the
survey as either not wanting to have children at all, or would
continue working as a mother. I am somewhat shocked that she did not
include ANY of their ideas or views in the article."

By the way, I love Dave's, Rob's, and Vishal's reactions to this.

Oh, and just to be clear, it's not staying home with kids that I
object to, it's the gender imbalance.
