Subject: article on Bailey book controversy now available

Please pardon this impersonal email. Thank you for your interest in and/or assistance with the scholarly history I conducted of the Bailey book controversy. After a year of work:

My forthcoming article on the facts of the Bailey book controversy is now available in preprint form online:
http://www.bioethics.northwestern.edu/faculty/work/dreger/controversy_tmwwbq.pdf

The article will be published next year in Archives of Sexual Behavior. For the call for commentaries, see:
http://www.bioethics.northwestern.edu/faculty/work/dreger/controversy_tmwwbq_cfc.pdf

I sincerely hope you will read this article carefully. What I found was quite shocking to me and is of critical importance to scholars, the media, and university administrators, as well as to non-academics interested in sex and gender issues, including advocates of sexual minorities.

Best wishes,

Alice
