COMPARATIVE PROPERTIES

We define properties here as the specific characteristics that follow from the particular implementation of the capabilities of a given architecture. These characteristics include knowledge representation, taskability, and reactivity among other things.

This chart cross-references architectures with properties. It allows you to immediately compare the architectures' properties against each other. It also allows you to immediately see which architectures support which properties. You may click on the entries in the chart to learn how/why an architecture supports/doesn't support a property. You may click on the leftmost column for a brief definition of the row's property. Finally, you may click on the architecture names that head each column to jump to the overviews of the selected architecture. The legend at the end explains the meaning of each letter.

NOTE: You may need to widen the Mosaic window and/or reduce the typesize to see all the architectures.
