COMPARATIVE ENVIRONMENTS

We define the environment of a cognitive architecture as the world the intelligence inhabits. It includes both, the characteristics and events of the external world, and the possible ways through which the intelligence can communicate and/or manipulate this outside world.

This chart cross-references architectures with environmental issues. It allows you to immediately compare the architectures' environmental issues against each other. It also allows you to immediately see the what environmental issues apply to certain architectures. You may click on the entries in the chart to learn how/why an architecture supports/doesn't support a capability. You may click on the leftmost column for a brief definition of the row's dimension. Finally, you may click on the architecture names that head each column to jump to the overviews of the selected architecture.

NOTE: You may need to widen the Mosaic window and/or reduce the typesize to see all the architectures.
