Cababilities Not Supported in Homer

Below are listed certain capabilities that Homer does not support.

Meta-Reasoning

The basic agent is not capable of examining its reasoning processes. Nor can it possess meta-knowledge about the knowledge in its memory.


Learning

Although information can be added to Homer's memory, he is not able to acquire knowledge through experience that can improve his performance. The agents two main intelligent behaviors , nlp and planning, cannot be improved through learning. Homer does not learn new vocabulary nor methods to speed his interpretation and generation of natural language text. Homer's planner does not get better through experience.


Interruptability

Homer does not support this capability. The basic agent exists in a nondynamic environment. Aside from avoiding obstacles when moving about in its world, there is no cause to switch from one activity to another.
