Inabilities
Meta-Reasoning
Meta-reasoning isn't possible in this architecture because the
knowledge isn't uniformly or declaratvely represented. In fact, the
control layer uses no
representation at all.
Learning
Learning isn't available in ATLANTIS. This wasn't one of the design
goals for this architecture.
It seems plausible, however, that a learning module, like
macro-operators could be added so the agent could learn
plans.
NLP
It's probably unlikely that natural language processing or generation
is implementable in this system. This wasn't the goal of this system after all. It
is designed to be a navigation control system for mobile
robots.
