Support of Multiple Learning Methods
Various architectures support a
multiple-method
learning capability.
This
enables them to take advantage of various sources of
knowledge or to test the performance of various learning
techniques against one another. Support for such methods varies
based on the architecture. For example,
PRODIGY directly supports seven different learning modules in the
architecture. On the other hand,
Soar's single learning
mechanism supports multiple learning methods because it is
of sufficient generality to exhibit a wide range of different behaviors
when mediated by the appropriate knowledge.
