Minimum Commitment Strategy
The Minimum Commitment Strategy refers to the method of waiting as long as
possible in a
planning
or execution phase to bind variables or make decisions
toward a goal.
This is done in order to utilize as much information as possible,
attempting to ensure
the best possible action at the necessary time. This strategy relies on the
notion that not all of the necessary knowledge will be available at any given
plan time, so waiting could make more knowledge available and ensure a better
plan.
