The Closed World Assumption
Not a theory but an assumption made in many systems about the
environment. Everything that is applicable is known?
Some agents operate under the assumption that no other agents exist in
the world and that the processes active in the world will not undo what
the agent has already done. The aspect of the world in which the agent
neither must compete for resources nor for access to items in the world
plus the aspect that work already done by the agent does not get undone
constitutes the closed world assumption.
