Self-Reflection

The ability of the agent to examine and act on its internal knowledge is called self-reflection. This capability has layers of usage that extend from a simple concept of state to the understanding of being an agent in the world.


The following, without knowledge of state, conduct no self-reflection:
The following agents use self-reflection for meta-reasoning or for episodic reasoning:
No agent studied exhibits gestalt behavior, although the episodic knowledge of HOMER comes eeriely close.
