The Speed-Knowledge Independence of AIS

Even as an AIS processes the vast data of the environment, it must still be able to act within the limited response time it is afforded. The processing speed does not guarantee this independence, so we must make further changes to the style of control. Whether this desideratum is achievable in practice appears to be an open issue.
