The Multi-Faceted Expertise of AIS
An AIS performs in an environment requiring multiple reasoning tasks. The Guardian system,
for example, interprets varying types of patient data and must provided
accurate diagnosis of whatever symptoms exist. Since these multiple
reasoning tasks will require the same types of data, it is natural to
provide uniform access and representation of knowledge in some
general framework within the global
database.
