of the Subsumption Architecture
Brooks considers the notion of taskability "orthogonal" to the agents
built on subsumption architectures. Since they are designed to act in
complete autonomy, he contends they should not be taskable. Thus, for
an agent to undertake a specific task, it must be designed with that
task in mind (possibly among others) and the appropriate behaviors for
that task programmed directly into the design of the agent..
