for any descision for which no control rule exists.
- What to learn - PRODIGY's EBL module
can choose to learn from among several different principles.
- What to keep - PRODIGY's EBL module uses
it's Utility Function to decide whether to keep newly learned items.
- How to learn - PRODIGY has several different learning methods
which it can employ (Apprentice,
EBL,
Static, Alpine,
Derivational Analogy) and it
can choose which to use for a particular problem.
