These documents on cognitive architectures have been developed in conjunction with John Laird in EECS547 - Cognitive Architectures, at the University of Michigan. They are intended for readers with a basic knowledge of Artificial Intelligence, and cognitive architectures in particular.

The structure of the documents mirrors the method of architectural analysis used in class. The general thrust is to determine the connections between particular architectural features, behaviors, and the varying environments in which an intelligent agent may be utilized. Each architecture evaluated has an individual main page that provides an overview of architectural features, properties, capabilities and the environment which it is intended to operate in.

The documents for each architecture are intended to demonstrate the interconnections between architectural features, properties, capabilities and the environments in which the agent can successfully operate. Other documents present properties, capabilities and environments which are common accross several different systems. There are also documents that explore the dichotomies between certain general features of various architectures. Finally, we have also included some meta discussions about general architectural issues.
