ICARUS: Bottom-up Concept Formation
Description
- Each concept sorted through concept
hierarchy
- All new concepts added as terminal nodes
- When terminal node is reached, two new nodes are created:
- A new teminal node contains the description of the current experience
- A new parent node contains the summary of the two terminal nodes
- Each node represents probabalistic sum of its children
- Experience incorporated into hierarchy incrementally
- Concepts can be split or merged if necessary
