Homer: Simulated Environment
Description
- Homer exists in a two-dimensional sea-world environment which was chosen as most conducive to applying the agent in the real world
- The simulated environment allows the agent to operate with a symbolic perception mechanism, supports perfect actions and perfect time
- Operating in a simulator allows the designers to focus on higher-level cognitive functions and ignore low-level implementation issues
