Issues :: Scalability
Is the system able to scale to larger problems, or are there assumptions
about the
environmnet,
archtecture, or limits on the
capabilities which may prevent it
from doing so. If so, what are these assumptions and limits and what are the
characteristics of the environments in which the system can not function properly?
This topic is broken down into three categories, systems which claim to scale independent
of the problem size, systems which intend to scale but currently are limited, and systems
which were designed for limited domains and have no intention of scaling up.
- Systems which claim to be scalable.
- Systems which intend to be scalable but are currently limited.
- Systems built for a specific domain and have only limited scalability.
