Action
Taking appropriate action in a given moment is one of the fundamental capabilities for an intelligent creature. How long an agent deliberates to find a sequence of actions to attain a goal is critical issue particularly in real-time task domain. Sometimes it is rational to take actions reactively without planning if the impact of those actions are minor to the whole accomplishment for the goal and easy to revoke, or in emergent situations that require immediate actions.
