Adding New Knowledge in the Subsumption Architecture
Adding New Knowledge
in the Subsumption Architecture
Since
world knowledge is not explicit,
knowledge in the
basic
subsumption architecture can only be added by direct modification of the
agent's rules by a programmer. However, since "rules" in subsumption correspond to
the interconnections between the architecture's
augmented finite state machines, adding new
knowledge normally corresponds to modifications to the underlying architecture.
