Learning in Soar is both an architectural mechanism ( chunking) and a general capability. In
particular, Soar systems can be designed with different learning paradigms all built upon
chunking and the other components of the
architecture. In addition to general learning capabilities, Soar
systems are also able to transfer
learned knowledge.
