Sensing Strategies in the Meta-Reasoning Architecture

Sensing Strategies in the Meta-Reasoning Architecture

MAX has an eager sensing strategy. It has a set of monitors that are invoked when certain environmental criteria are met. They serve to handle dynamicism in the environment.

However, for MAX to know which monitor to invoke (if any) the architecture must know what the environment is like each time it considers. It therefore must obtain up-to-date environmental data from its sensors. That is eager sensing.
