Supervisors for Homer
Supervisors for Homer
The basic agent's
natural language capabilities would be unnecessary if
there was no one to provide English input or read its English output. Also,
in the case of an agent mistake, the system's supervisors also would like
it to provide an explanation of the decision process leading up to its
actions. The episodic memory
provides the agent with a history of its experiences, while the planner/reasoner records all steps of
its decision-making process. The latter can poll these records to create a
complete explanation, which can then be output through the text generator for Homer's supervisors to
peruse.
