Opportunistic Execution in Homer

Opportunistic Execution in Homer

Homer's planner/reasoner is capable of replanning based on aquiring new information. Thus Homer can make use of new data to change its plan opportunistically. For instance, if Homer is given two goals: (1) go to the island, and (2) if you see a bird take its picture, it will go towards the island. On the way, if it happens to see a bird it will incorporate this new information and interrupt its current action of going to the island in order to take a picture of the bird.
