Maximum Latencies in the Adaptive Intelligent Systems Architecture
Maximum Latencies in the Adaptive Intelligent Systems Architecture
Since an AIS is afforded only a limited
response time by its environment and different events may
have different
priorities, operations cannot be granted
unlimited time to execute. The system's processing speed
does not necessarily
guarantee the desired maximum latencies, requiring changes to the style of control that led to the devleopment
of the architecture's
satisficing control cycle.
