Management of Complexity in the Adaptive Intelligent Systems Architecture
Management of Complexity in the Adaptive Intelligent Systems Architecture
AIS includes a number of features to which specifically address
the inherent complexity of the
world:
-
Dynamic I/O channels control the volume of perceptual data entering the system,
providing selective attention;
- The
central architecture is capable of selecting abstract actions, and specialized action
processors break abstract operations into primitive actions;
-
The Control Plan allows the AIS to specify which types of problems are of most
interest and other parameters, and the reasoning mechanism uses these
preferences to employ
focused action.
