Reactivity in Adaptive Intelligent Systems Architectures
Reactivity in Adaptive Intelligent Systems Architectures
The first name in AIS is adaptive, so one would hope that it
performs well along this dimension. In fact, with all of its processes
running asynchronously and concurrently, the system is very
reactive. And since it can concentrate on the most relevant aspects of its
environment by being selectively
attentive, it can avoid being bogged down through information overload. In addition, an AIS only
reasons incrementally, so it does not
require a great deal of processing time upon event observations.
