Simultaneous Goals in Adaptive Intelligent Systems Architectures
Simultaneous Goals in Adaptive Intelligent Systems Architectures
An AIS can pursue more than one goal at a time through its use of dynamic
control plans. the agenda contains operations chosen
according to the set of all currently active control plans.
the action ultimately chosen depends on certain preferences of the scheduler, but it will make progress on
one of the plans, and in turn, toward one of the goals. The maintenance of
multiple plans keeps the system free to choose actions that will make
progress toward any of the goals, so it is not limited to one
particular plan.
