Adaptive Intelligent System Agenda Manager
Adaptive Intelligent System Agenda Manager
In BB1, the agenda is a list of actions suggested by recent events.
The agenda manager updates this list based on perceptual events (in the
input buffers), as well as cognitive events.
Recent events suggest the actions chosen by the agenda manager in an order
determined by the current control plan,
which also provides the rating criteria.
The agenda manager's deliberations continue until interrupted by the
scheduler, as mediated by the
satisficing cycle.
Since the agenda can contain actions aimed at different goals, it supports
concurrent reasoning.
The system can always modify the actions placed on the agenda, as well as the
preferences attributed them, when trying to focus reasoning.
These same methods also allow for
time-stress responsivity and
graceful degradation.
